Forgive me for the lack of details in this post, but my knowledge of speakers, stereos and general electrical systems is minimal.

I've been searching all over the forum and haven't found answers to what I'm looking for. So if you know of a thread on this topic please post the link and I'll delete this thread.

The first thing I did when I bought my bike used was have a new stereo system put in. I had a local shop do it, that is no longer local to me. All I know is that it came from biketronics.com and is a 4 ohm system. Hogtunes speakers with Sony stereo. They asked if I wanted to do the speakers on the detach tour pak, I said no thinking I wouldn't really be using the tour pak all that much. Well now I want the rear speakers to work again.

What speakers do you recommend? Where can I get them?
Will I have to get a new amp? Again, recommendations?
Can I use the original quick connect plug under the seat that was used for the original 2 ohm speakers?

I know so little about this I'm not even sure if my questions make sense. If not, I'm sorry.

Hogtunes offer 5 1/4" speaker pods with speakers that will match your front speakers without a Amp. If you wanted to upgrade to better speakers and Amp and want easy plug and play Biketronics offers 7" speaker pods and 7" fairing speakers and Amp, no need to amplify the rears and leave the fronts as is. The last option is to piece everything together but that takes a little knowledge about audio systems. Call Biketronics and talk to them about your current setup and see what the have to say about what would be best in YOUR situation. Good luck

Speakers didn't work.

This might be a long confusing post, Sorry! Any help on getting these speakers to work would be awesome and greatly appreciated!

Okay, I ordered these speakers: http://www.biketronics.com/hogtunes-speakers-5-25-inch-upgrade/

Dropped them into my quick detach tourpak speaker pods, just static. Tried unplugging the rear amp, static goes away but no sound. So I start looking around my bike and found something interesting. I found 4 wires, all different colors that are not plugged into anything in the fairing. These wires match 4 in the quick connect under the rear seat. This is the plug that plugs into a pigtail on the rear amp. 2 wires are on the clutch side, 2 wires are on the brake side.

I took pictures but they're not very great.
The first picture shows the brake side wires and I circled one of the ends. These are the same clasp thingys used to attach directly to speakers, so what gives?
The second picture is the rear amp.
