Hi guys. I'm really new to this so please be patient with me. I want to put an ev27 can in my 98 roadglide FLTRI. It would be great if I could get some direction on what I need and the pluses and minuses of running that Cam on a fuel injected bike. Please help!!

You will need some type of tuner on it,i put SE 211's and head work with a 95 inch kit in my 01,that is when the tuners were fairly new to the market, used a power comander never did get it tuned right,so i converted to a carb, was the best thing i ever did.

We've used a metric ton of those 27's, and Wood 6 cams in those 80"s with large results.
The 27 likes 9.8 cr and a Wood 6 can go to 10.2, BUT, if looking for big grunt with a good hp charge as well, Crane hit a home run with the 300.
Big torque right up off the bottom, where a heavy touring machine can really use it.
9.4 cr is where we set that, and actually have 2 jobs in here now using that cam.

Thanks guys for the information. I'll definitely look in to the Crane. I don't have the budget to mill the heads yet but I would like to. I've heard of guys converting to carb burnõ also heard that is have to augment my wiring harness? The motor was replaced by Harley when the last owner did the exchange program. I was surprised when he told me they replaced the entire motor and was a bit suspicious until he showed me the paperwork. So the motor now currently only has 11,000 miles on it. Should I replace the lifters when I do the cam? And does anybody know a good place to get a breather gear for a decent price? Sorry for l the question. First big v-twin I've owned, if it was a chevy 350 I'd be all over it

Ps disreguard the spelling mistakes I'm posting from my phone and it likes to AutoCorrect the crap out of me

Every thing to convert to carb is plug and play using HD parts, sub wiring harness ect, took me about 4 hrs to complete it.

Really.....hmmm because the MM EFI sputters and stumbles at first. Almost like the timing is off. Would you happen to know where I can find some info on what I'd need? I can get my hands on a CV carbs/intake for really cheap. I'd probably need to remove the fule pump and swap out the ignition?

You just need to find a tuner that knows how to tune the MM system.
They are out there.

converting a MM to carb:

DYNA 2000 ignition around 200.00
coil around 45.00
that's all you need
