Gett'n ready to put a T-Mann 600 cam and Gatorman lifters in my 2012 CVO as part of my winter mods. Was looking at the AIM VP92T centripetal clutch with 380# spring. Wondering who has this set up, what they think?

I have the primo version of it and it works. If all you are doing is a cam and exhaust the SE spring will take care of your needs, otherwise I would wait and find out if it slips and where in the RPM. Clutch slip below 3 or 4 thousand rpm and the lock up unit won't do you any good.

like it but makes it tough to shift and not back out of the RPMs considerably. as in it's hard to pull up on the shifter with my toes.

Frank am I right with my assumption that the AIM setup can make it more difficult to pull up and shift when your in the rpms. My clutch basket is stock Harley but is no way worn. And chain tensioner is working correctly and not to tight.?????

AIM with 380 spring is very easy to pull across the board and it fits great in Hyd cvo clutch with derby cover.:D

We have been installing those here, for longer than a lot of "shops" have even been in "business", and litterally installed a couple hundred of those here.
We use a Barnett spring with those VPC units.
Never an issue.:)

Listen to your self. Its a simple question not a Google thing what is the spring psi of the Barnett spring. What's so hard about that.
You telling people to use something you don't know the answer too.
I asked you a simple f'ing question answer it. I don't know I don't use it. I deal direct from AIM with there springs 340-380-480 and there charts are there.
So please knock of your 25 year crap .
Thank very much.
Frank Drago.

Who pissed in your corn flakes?
Frank asked a simple, civil question. Why couldn't you either give a civil answer or ignore it?

Sounds to me like....

A) The original suggestion was Bogus...there is no such thing...it's no better than anything else out there...no "Magic" to it at all.
B) I'm not going to tell you because I don't just "share" info on this forum unless I'm going to get something (directly) in return.
C) I'm so darn smart & important that I can't be haggled for those silly little "details" that are so beneath my status as an HD Super-God.

Lol...sometimes the fellow from N.Y. is helpful and nice...other times he's just an ego-maniac "Jacka_ _" just saying---

It seems that some shops give info and specs, and other just spit out alot of BS to make them selfs look good.(so they think). Don't understand why someone asks a simple question, and get I'm not gonna tell you. Wow what a way to run a bussiness.

Aw cut some slack y'all. Words are just that - nothing more - and besides, you learn a LOT more about who you can actually work with by listening (or reading in this case).

This one thread shows me that I'll look into an AIM spring if necessary 'cause the guy who uses them most of the time shows that he is an honorable guy I can work with. In addition, he knows details about the products he prefers right off the top of his head (and is perfectly willing to share that info too).

Went to Barnett's site to check their system out. Couldn't find spring rates, they just say; light, medium, heavy. But it does look like it might be a better system than the AIM's, in that it's more adjustable/tuneable? Since there's not too much info on the site, it would be nice if HillSide could elaborate on this clutch, since he brought it to our attention!
Thanks.

Scott,

Just give it a rest and check your attitude at the door. Frank is always trying to help and you are just an ass!! I'm personally getting sick of it. Why don't you leave this great site and take your uncooperative unsocial unsharing unfriendly self over to HD forums where you belong!!!

Clearly you do not understand the dynamic of this forum.

He sure does shout out that his decisions and his work is ALWAYS perfect - no question, no question ever... no cooperation necessary. Makes me wonder what customer service after-the-fact is like.

Oh well... he's still in business so he does have customers but personally, I sure won't become one.

Adiós Scott.
