Trying to put together a Sunday M&G for 2x this year(2012).

Walking Eagle Inn in Rotten Monkey House for the first M&G on a Sunday for a steak.

Would like to see it happen a couple of times each riding season, and move the location around AB.

Any takers?

Can you give your southern neighbor a better idea of where this is at?

Nickel and Jeff,

Rocky Mountain House (Rotten Monkey House) is about 2 hrs N by NW of Calgary, west of Red Deer on HWY 11(about 5 hours N. of the border). It is on the edge of the foothills of the Rockies eh! RMH is small town that is a local service center for Oil/Gas exploration and production, forestry, sawmills, ranching and farming.

Come on up. I'll see what I can do a aboot an AR CEE M PEE escort for yah.

Now I know where it is. I've stayed in Red Deer before and been all around that area but not to RMH that I remember. It's 517 miles from my house to there.

I'll forgo the RCMP escort for now. I like to visit Canada and Alberta is a nice Providence even though I must admit that I spend more time riding in BC. Probably because that is where most of my Canadian friends live, eh.

Hey Roaddog what class(es) do you race in? Pilot, crew chief, mechanic or all of the above?

That might be fun to work a trip to Medicine Hat to watch!

Jeff and Nickel,

BC has the twisties, Alberta most of our roads are straight out on the Prairie, but there is still some fantastic scenery such as the badlands and beautiful rolling hills. Of course the Mountain scenery in the Rockies is fantastic.

Hey Jeff, watching the grammys last night I may have to dig out my Glen Campbell CD's for a little road music this summer.

Will look at the calendar and try to select some dates that don't conflict much with racing or long weekends here in Canada.

I do both the Mission and Ashcroft races every year. I have been crewing on nitro bikes for over 10 yrs and hit every CMDRA race year in and year out. When I am not busy working on the dragster I am taking pics of the races,

No we never did get a date resolved.

My work has been nucking futz for the last 2 weeks and will be until the end of next week (June 15).

Sunday June 24th is a possilbe date, then we move into late August or the fall. What about Sunday Sept 23 or Sunday Sept 30th?

I am assuming that most folks will have other holidays planned with family and spouses for July and most of August.

Either date in September (23 or 30) works for me.

Walking Eagle does make a mean steak...
