Installing new system this weekend and looking for advice on tweeking adjustments.

The system consists of:
Sony MS60 Head
RF 300x4 Amp
Fosgate T165 speakers in stock locations and another set in the inner faring location (5" hole saw makes life easy & painted inner faring)
Dynamat on inner and outer fairing
Vtwin audio mount kit

What volume do I run the head unit at to adjust gains ?
Any advice would be helpful, I'd like put the outer back on and be done the first time.

Thanks All

Most say set volume at 75%, then set gain accordingly. Thats how I set mine up, but I'm no expert.
The bad thing is, the sound wont be the same after you mount the outer fairing.

+1 ^^^^ also have bass and treble set flat during adjustment, then you can adjust to different music while listening.

Did you have to add more gain after you heard how it sounded with the outer back in place ?
I hung it on a couple of times when adjusting. I believe, I was turning the gain down, more to due with the speakers rather than the fairing tho.

wanted to give this post a bump versus asking again in another post...

just installed a soundstream pn4.520 behind the stock Headunit...

I'm looking for the same info...and tips

I can reach my gain adjustments with the left headlight out so thats something to consider when mounting your amp...
