Could someone please tell me what gauge wire to use to power and ground the PA rz4-2000d? It may be the same as on the SS pn4.520d seeing as how they seem to be very similar amps. Power Acoustik is saying 4AWG, but that seems pretty big. I'm thinking 8AWG or 10 AWG. Is there a standard rule for sizing or does the size of the amp and/or length of the lead determine the gauge of the wire?

I'm thinking a kit may be easier for me as I'm not well versed in audio installs. I'm hoping this would give me everything I need wire and terminal wise.

Amazon has BOSS Audio kits pretty cheap with free shipping. Is this a good brand to use or should I be looking at something else? Thanks in advance for any input.

First off, welcome to the forum. You may want to introduce yourself in the New Members thread for a warm welcome.

I've got a set of Infinity Kappas in the stock fairing location wrapped in poly fill sheets. Sorry, no pics. Mounted amp between inner fairing and the glove box on the left side, with industrial Velcro. I adjusted the gain with the outer fairing off and tweaked it a little after putting the outer back on. With the head lights removed I could access the gain control through the head light hole, before re installing the lights. I have not ridden with the new amp and speakers yet. In the garage it sounds great. Louder than I'll probably ever need and clean and clear all the way up. I may use the other side of the amp in the future to power speakers in the lowers. But for now I'm happy.
