Can anyone recommend a good head unit that is compatible with an android phone? I'd like to be able to read what song is on via bluetooth.

When I BT Pandora from my Droid phone, songs do not come up in the screen of the HU bt 149. I haven't tried any other function on my phone. I know with apple mp3 , songs come up and I can also control them with my hand control on the bike.

And if you ask about which head unit to buy you will get a wide variety to choose from
Okay.

I'm interested in just BT mostly. But, all the head units I've looked at seem way to basic.

With that said, I think the Alpines are overpriced but definitely are reliable from when I had them installed in my vehicles. But I am interested in the Kenwood KDC-BT762HD if anyone has that and can provide me pro's and con's.

I had a Kenwood KMR-D558BT (a marine unit, unfortunately discontinued) installed on my E-Glide last year and it was super easy to pair and work with the phone and pandora. I also had a biketronics kit installed with it so that i could use the hand controls. I liked that I could change the screen color (some of the colors weren't really visible while riding). Using pandora on shuffle didnt kind of sucked because it would show the titles. another negative was the internal clock never stayed set.

The Pioneer I installed is very difficult to see during the sunlight hours but I don't really care as I'm watching the other idiots on the road and not my radio. Plus I keep the vtwin audio splash shield on it all the time. I paid $100 for it from Amazon. It has several different color options, bluetooth, cd player, front aux port if I need it. I stream my songs via my smartphone which has approx 3000 songs on it. Very easy to pair and connect. I can even answer phone calls through it which is pointless on a motorcycle

Thank you looks good. What kit did you use for your radio?

I used the vtwin audio kit with their splash shield. Their customer service is fantastic when I called them to ask a few questions. It's a pretty basic kit but it's great. The only problem I had with it was because of the Pioneer and not actually the vtwin kit. The radio did not have an accessible place to secure the back of it to the vtwin kit for stability. I had to improvise. The radio I used has heat sinks the would not allow it to be secured using the vtwin hardware.
