The video's aren't working for me but I linked it. If not just read whats below.
Turn on the ignition switch and when the warring screen comes up push and hold the power button and the Service menu will come up. DTC will be the very first thing in the menu. There should be codes stored. once you get the post what they are.
OK so I tried and didn't give me the "menu". Basically per the video (at a minute & 45 second), once the warning screen comes out, I need to press (& hold) the power button until "the service menu comes out". It's not happening on this bike thou. Only the HD logo that came out (plus the time of 12:00). No service menu at all.

<nevermind> I see you can actually access the video from craigffb

Try this video:

I'm not sure this "method" will work on my situation because all the buttons on either the clutch and throttle sides are not working. But let me try it anyway.

OK so I tried the "method" in this video and my gauges didn't "go the the right and back to the left". Not sure is it's because (again) due to buttons on the controller isn't working. Which is my initial issue.

DOH..... yep. Darn...what a pickle. For continuity, I would stick with working with craigffb. He will get you there the best anyone can.

best wishes. I will watch.... this is a good one.

That’s the reason I suggested you look from the radio. It has to work, try it again. As soon as the warning screen comes on……press and HOLD the power button. It shouldn’t take long for the service menu to come up. You turned the radio off last time.

Those codes indicate that the BCM is not seeing either the left or the right hand controls. They are either unplugged at the TOP (switch pack) or BOTTOM (under the gauge housing). It can't be much else. The U0001 is a generic CANBUS fault that SHOULD be clearable. Probably related to the the initial bar swap. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK ALL THE FUSES.

I cleared couple of times and it still there. I also inserted two different (new) 5A fuses. Re-switched (& switched back) the placement of the CANBUS connectors under the gauge housing (in case I plug it wrong the last time) and it still nothing. Man.. this thing is killing me!

For what ever reason the BCM is NOT seeing the switch packs. If it was a bad wire or bare or grounded wire the code would show that, but they are not being detected. I think you have either the OE ones or the ones that came with the bars correct? Here is what I would do. Take one that is not in the bars and take off the switch pack and plug the stuff up OUTSIDE of the bars and see what you get. I mean it can only be one plug or the other.

That would be my suggestion also. Sounds like something might have been damaged or mis-assembled in the pre wiring that came with the bars.

STUPIDITY! STUPIDITY! STUPIDITY!

That's basically what it is! I could've gotten the bike back to my buddy last week but NOOO.
You guys wondering what it was: I plug the connecters (under the gauge/cluster) upside down! Yes..., that's all!
I blamed my beer that I had on the first day I was working on this handlebar. That and also the fact that I might need NEW glasses!

Damn.

Pictures help a lot. Especially when you have had a beer or 20.

Good job on keeping after it though.
