Just got a recall notice in the mail today.

It has to do with the hydraulic clutch master cylinder not being able to generate enough "lift" to completely disengage the clutch after the bike has been sitting for extended periods.

The recall applies to 2015 RG's and 2014 and 15 Batwings.

Dealers will drain and rebuild the master cylinder n/c (of course) It's about a 2 hour procedure (guessing they're slow) >:)

My dealer said this was essentially a recall of the first clutch recall in which they wanted to make sure they actually got them all done. He suspected they didn't track the first recall properly.

Interesting. Up until now, I had never heard of the clutch recall. Just got the notice in the mail today. Hence the post. Thought this was something brand new.

I'll make the call and the appointment. I have noticed a little bit of clutch friction on starts. I leave it in 1st when I park.

That's what mine said too. My bike wasn't part of the original recall but I was having the exact problem the original poster said. All good after the recall got performed now.

Got my clutch master recall notice yesterday as well. Taking the bike in tomorrow to have the work done. They say that they have the parts in stock. I have had no problems with the clutch at all.

They also told me that I needed to get the bag recall done. I did that myself over two weeks ago and sent the dealer and Harley documentation, and I watched the dealer enter it. I am NOT going to use those POS dusz fasteners to hold on my bags. I used Bagger Bolts.

I told my local dealer that I had the bags bolted on and asked them if they could sign off the recall. Service manager told me the only way they could sign it off would be to remove my bolts and install the factory hardware..........utter stupidity.

I was at the shop and they told me I had to make an APPOINTMENT to get the bag recall done. I was just trying to help Harley clear their books. I have Monkey Knob type bolts installed. [email protected] em, leave your books open til the end of time. Ridiculous!

Lucky to have a super responsive dealer here. (Mikes Famous) They were ready to take me in for the repair at my convenience. Doing it this Sunday.

Just picked up my new RGS about two weeks ago. They wouldn't let me have it until they did the clutch recall. "Do Not Ride". Then, a week after I picked up the bike, I got the letter from the MoCo.

The website seems to be current. Got the letter and checked the site. Mine was a closed issue which I guess means it was done. Went for the 1000 mile today and she told me it was taken care of while it was in the showroom.
