I have been using Amsoil synthetic for like 4 years now, it is known to be a better lubricant, runs cooler. Never had a motor issue. I use two dealers and they both recommend it, they say it costs more but it does more.

Sound like you have cracked fuel lines inside the fuel tank.

First thing first I'm Nick Roberts the Amsoil sponsor on this site. With that out of the way I want to say that I find that my newest Roadglide has started to run smoother with a treatment of Quickshot SE.

I picked up this bike in December in South Carolina with 23K miles on it. It has a stock engine with no air cleaner upgrade and a set of Rush slipons on the stock exhaust system.

It had a pretty bad decel pop going on; even making decel pops when I shifted. I ran a tank with Quickshot in it and then parked the bike for a couple of weeks because our weather here in KY turned cold and rainy again. Last week I took another ride, on the same route, and noticed that the decel popping was nearly gone. I didn't expect the decel popping to go away and have been saving my money for a Zipper's ECU unit so that I could tune it and stop the popping. I was very surprised when it nearly stopped popping after one treatment of Quickshot SE I have to attribute the change to Quickshot SE since there were no other changes made to the engine. My theory is that Quickshot SE did what it is advertised to do and cleaned out the carbon on the backs of the valves, cleaned the combustion chamber and cleaned up the injectors. The overall performance feels better and throttle response is much crisper.

In addition to nearly eliminating the decel popping I saw a major improvement in gas mileage. I had been watching gas mileage on this bike for about 500 miles and it was consistently getting 37 MPG which was a real disappointment since I expected a stocker to get at least into the 40 MPG range. After the Quickshot SE treatment I refueled at the same station I had been using and my mileage was 44 MPG. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that even though I was expecting some improvement. That was a 7 MPG improvement and really showed me the benefits to using Quickshot SE in any bike that has a few miles on it.

Amsoil makes another fuel system cleaner for cars and trucks Pi Fuel Additive that was proven to improve gas mileage in actual lab testing. It works so well that Amsoil currently offers a money back guarantee if it doesn't improve gas mileage. We Amsoil dealers asked about using it in motorcycles and at the time Amsoil did not recommend it for small engines. They told us they were working on a product specifically for small engines and powersports equipment and soon they brought out Quickshot SE which has the added benefit of battling the effects of ethanol.

I know that because I'm an Amsoil dealer some readers may question my endorsement of Quickshot SE but I stand by my findings. Amsoil Quickshot SE is a valuable additive that will improve your bikes performance and when used as directed in each tank of gas will fight the negative aspects of ethanol in gasoline.

Well just been through my first tank
With quickshot and it seems to help the popping. I've got 10,000 miles on my 2010 and the backfiring started
At about 8000 miles. This definitely
Helps. Will have to see about mileage.
