Ok y'all. I need some help from the more knowledgable. I have a 11 Fltrx w abs. Wanting to put a set of 14 carlini evil apes
on. Is it pretty universal that you can put 10 -12 on with stock and the 14 with the reroute? If not... Could anyone let me know what size is needed for each ?

I put 12" Bagger nation Monkey Bars on mine. The stock Clutch/Brake still fit, however I did have to extend the bar wires to go internal. I must mention that I didn't have a choice on these bars which way the wires went!

To extend, you'd have to get a +2 brake lever -> ABS cable and a +2 clutch cable. Easy enough to do on a NON-ABS, but with the ABS you will have to pull the tank I believe!! I've done the update on a non-ABS bike, that was simple!

Good luck!

i just put these on my '12 fltrx.

needed +4 brake and clutch. i'm not sure it would be possible to do it with stock. if so, it would be tight. carlini 14's are more like 15's.

ABS is a bit different than normal brakes but nothing to be nervous of, especially if you've done bars and lines before.

the ABS module is the square silver box under your right side cover. if you look at that you will see 4 banjo bolt fittings with lines running in. an easy way to think of the ABS module is that it sits in between the master cylinders and the brake lines. so take a normal brake setup that is MC --> caliper. with ABS it looks like MC --> ABS module --> caliper. so instead of just a single line running from master cylinder to the caliper, there are 2 lines. one running from master cylinder to ABS, then another running from ABS to caliper. the ABS module is under the right side cover so the lines end up running the length of the bike back and forth.

i bled the brakes the normal way (which took quite a bit longer since the lines were longer). the only caveat is after you get brake pressure back you should take it to the dealer to let a tech bleed the ABS. you can drive it around fine beforehand, but if the ABS system activates there may be a bubble in there module and you will lose brake power. not good since usually if ABS triggers that is when you need brakes. i drove my bike around for 2 days before taking it to dealer for ABS bleed.

clear as mud right ;)

Right on I have 18 carlini gangsta apes on my 09 RKC. I do not remember what Lengths I bought for it but it was Pretty easy without abs on it. I'm stressed about the abs on the glide
