Warming up. Got to 14 above and should hit 38 degrees tomorrow here. They are making a big deal out of twisting things to claim records but it really is not that out of line for WI to get cold snaps like this end of JAN first part of FEB. yes the 30 below with out wind chill is ever year but it does happen.

This morning the whistle pig said spring would be early this year. And with that the temps climbed above freezing for the first time in over a week. Ice is melting and the asphalt is steaming. And the salt slurry is inches thick in places.

The salt is an inch think on the roads around here, too cold for it to melt. But the township just keeps piling more on top. Now today the snow is building up on top of the salt. I wish you guys up north would just keep your weather up there where it belongs. Build a wall or something.

It'll take several inches of rain to clean this mess up.
same here.
you now how the gubment is, tho.
if they don't spend it this year, they can't get it next year.

they use beet juice around here for pre-treatment.
evidently it's very caustic.
car mechanic down the street is making a killing with emergency brake cable replacements.

Yep, in Perth, it's HOT nothing under 35 degrees Celsius for the rest of the week and most probably a few more weeks after that.
