Thanks Brent, my son turns 18 on the 5th. It may be tough for me but I will try, would love to make a ride out west before it gets to hot here.

I go just about every year. It's a nice event, but you gotta pay to even see the vendors.
Pre-rally is March 28 to April 1. The Rally is April 2 thru 6.
The Hideaway is always a zoo during Bike Week. Lots of fun, but parking fills up quickly. There are other good spots in Cave Creek: Buffalo Chip, Harrold's, Tap Haus.
Scottsdale Harley usually has stuff going on. Same with Chester's. Buddy Stubbs has a nice museum.
ZZ Top is one of the main concerts this year.

We ride here year 'round, so April is a good month. But, it can already be hot by then too. There are lots of great rides up north, so it's easy to head to higher elevation for the day.

Well I plan on being there every day as of now. So I am willing to meet whenever it is best for eveybody else. This is a great idea worth doing. I could not make the Sharkweek event, I just got my Glide and was out of money then. But I sure would like to put some faces to screen names. One thing, if you go on the charity ride, you usually get into that day's event for free.

Yeah, there will be a lot going on that week: AZ Bike Week at WestWorld in Scottsdale, Phx Bikefest down at Wild Horse Pass and the Cave Creek Rally in Cave Creek.

Concerts haven't been announced for Phx Bike Fest yet, but the headliner entertainment will not conflict with Az Bike Week which will make it possible to do both.

Here's a blurb from Barry at Cyclerides about the Bikefest:
One of the highlights of the event that I think is really cool will be Arizona’s first-ever “ride-through bar,” serving as gateway entry to the event that naturally creates a parade of arriving bikes, which onlookers can enjoy throughout the day. You will enter the venue and follow an asphalt road made specifically for entry into the venue that will take you through the bar where you will get your picture taken and emailed to you for free. You will ride through the bar, go park, and come back to enjoy the fun. There will be live music, food and drink in the bar with tiered level seating and a bar rail for people to stand and watch the bikes roll through from the different rides coming in from around the valley. There will also be open seating on both sides with tables, chairs and umbrellas that will create an even longer line of onlookers that I’m sure will be needed. Can’t wait to see this in action!

Brent, it depends on where you want to stay, what kind of amenities you prefer and what your budget would be.

You can camp onsite at Westworld - the site of Bike Week in Scottsdale. There is a small, grassy area for tents and a larger area for motorhomes or trailers.

Most of the hotels in north Scottsdale are resorts and could get pricey for a week-long stay. Naturally, the further away from the site, the lower the prices, especially if you get into Phoenix. The Westworld site is right off of the 101-Loop so it's pretty quick to get anywhere.

The festivities in Cave Creek are north of Westworld and the new event at Wild Horse Pass are to the south.

The new event at Wild Horse Pass should be interesting. It will be smaller than Bike Week, I'm guessing, since this is the first year. But, entrance is free. I do believe there will be some free shows, but the headliner concerts will require a fee.

Wild Horse Pass also includes a raceway - drag strip, boat drag strip, road course. Bondurant does their thing at the site. I have heard that there will be activities there during Bikefest - including a chance to run your scoot down the drag strip.
I have also heard that some ATV dealers will have some off-road test rides going on.

Wild Horse Pass is a hotel & casino complex on the Gila River Indian reservation in Chandler, just off the interstate (10).

This event sprung up because of a problem up at Bike Week. Bob Parsons (of GoDaddy fame) owns motorcycle dealerships in Scottsdale, one of them being the Harley dealership. That dealership is a primary sponsor of Bike Week (Bob has deep pockets). He announced that he didn't want any of the other valley H-D dealerships invading on his territory in 2014, so the other dealerships banded together to get the Phoenix Bikefest event going.

the site for the official goodies. Weather is good, hotels galore.

I think the line up will start to fill out in the next couple of weeks.

The wife and I are putting our bikes in the trailer and headed down from Iowa. To much winter here in the midwest so we need a get away for some motorcycle therapy. This will be about the 6th year we have attended AZ Bikeweek, looking forward to the addition of the new Bikefest to see what it has to offer. Check out both rallys websites lots of great rides and activities scheduled at both.
