Sorry I'm new here and made my 1st mistake hope a moderator can fix it and put my thread where it belongs sorry.

Hi to one and all. I'm new to this forum. I been reading some of the threads you guys post and it seems there's alot of knowledge in this group. I have a problem with my Arnott Air ride system, not all of it just the bracket that holds the air compressor. I bought the entire kit at the begining of March, it's less than two months old and I have already broken 3 brackets! Before you guys jump into wrong conclusions let me 1st tell you that I ride 220+ miles each day I work. That's roughly 3,500 a month. Now my question is 1st) does anyone have this system and have you had any issues with the compressor mount? 2nd) how many miles do you have with your system. Two brackets broke on the side that bolts on to the fender/muffler bracket. the other one broke on the side that bolts to the muffler. The company has been receptive and sent me new brackets but they don't know why they keep breaking. It's a straight stress fracture. No other bike brackets/braces in the same area are damaged nor do they show wear. Any ideas?

I forgot to mention that this kit comes with two diferent compressor mounting brakets. One is for bikes that have saddlebag rails and the other(what I use) is for bikes without the saddle bag rails. Each mount is very diferent depending your bikes looks. Since I don't have saddlebag rails I can't use the other mount.

Thanks

Ernie

Hi thanks for your suggestion. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this. I got my third replacement and have yet to install it. here's what I did to solve the issue. Well so far I have over 2K miles with the fix I did and so far its held up. I think the problem has to do with the bracket holes not being aligned right or maybe my bike is wrong from the bike they got their measurements from. The last time it broke Irepositioned it leveling but not forcing it to its original position. I welded it and so far so good. I gotta ask though what exactly is extruded aluminum? and why would it help? is it supper strong?

I just installed my Arnott air ride. I don't have saddlebag guards. I mounted the bracket by prying apart the exhaust from the mounting brackets and prying apart the saddlebag mount from the mounting bracket. So the Arnott mount is sandwiched between them.
