Hey I need some help
2015 CVO road glide ultra
Stock info system radio
I am adding lid speakers to the bike and need some help with out breaking the bank
I have lids and need to know how to just add speakers and possible amp to it.

I have gotten mixed reviews Harley does not offer an upgrade for the stock boom system on the bike to add saddle bag lid speakers without going up to the boom II and changing out the amps and all the speakers, i was trying to avoid this and go a little less expensive

Can anyone give me some advise on this?

Thank you:serious::confused:

You should be able to add the second Boom amp and 1 set of the Boom II speakers in the lids. You would not have to change the rest of the setup. Won't be cheap unless you find used stuff like I did when I upgraded mine last year.

OK, first things first. Stay away from anything that says Boom!

You can go aftermarket and get a nice system that replaces all the speakers plus gets you decent amps and will sound verygood for less than an amp and lid speakers that say Boom!

There are a few active threads on stereos that you can start to browse http://www.roadglide.org/53-audio/322370-stereo-budget.html and http://www.roadglide.org/53-audio/339658-2018-audio-upgrade-low-budget-option.html.

Those will get you started, and I know your CVO is different, but it is a jumping off point. You will need 2 amps and extra speakers, but you will get a much better grasp of stereo on a budget and then you can start asking some more specific CVO questions, which should be able to be answered in short order.

Doing the math quickly off the top of my head, you are probably looking at around 700 bucks for the 2 amps 3 pairs of speakers, 2 of the BT355's and the assorted misc. things to complete the install.

Do the install yourself and get to know your Shark a bit better and you will have nice tunes without breaking the bank.

Hope this helps,

Mike

Oh yeah, as someone in the other threads said, sell the Boom! crap to someone with a MEE TOO and recoup some of your money :grin:
