I have the 2015 chopped tour pak. I sent out the back rest pad to have reupholstered by LePera to match my seats. The question I have is the flap that danglels below the pad. Is it really needed and if you had a choice would you keep the flap or get rid of it?

I feel it's not really needed. I have seen others with it removed and I think it looks cleaner. JMO

Depends on how much you ride two up. I don't ride on the back but would think without it could be hard on the lower back. JMO

I have a 2014 style King TP with a chopped backrest pad. My passenger says her lower back never touches that lower pad. I would say you could make it very useful if they made it thicker.

I take the wife but like rgken says I'm not certain if she touches that lower flap, also like that clean look.

I think that pad is just for looks to complete the queen seat look. Go with what ever looks better to you.

I would remove it. The chopped tourpak looks so much better without it.
