Hey folks. I recently found a good deal on a set of lids. I came across a listing on craigslist, met the guy, and was amazed but the accumulation of stuff he had... Come to find out he is a dealer for a few different company's. One being vtwin

So, $60. And I bought a brand new set of vtwin lids for 6x8 speaks (basically knock off factory boom lids). My question is, I dropped them on my bags and it's a perfect match, but I see the stock bags have a "inner lining" which routes the cable across the lid for the lever. Obviously the stock bag isn't cut of out for the speaker that the new lids are going to hold. Is there a new inner liner that I must purchase? Can the stocks be modified to work?

Boom lids are designed for 5x7 speakers.

If the lids you bought are similar to the new style boom lids, go to the dealer and check out one of the bikes with boom lids already installed and see how things are routed.
