just wondering, i'm putting in a hogtunes amp and 5x7 speakers in my
05 road glide fairing, as i understand, the bass booster port for the
tour pack speaker pod for better base sound - would the same idea work
if i drilled on the inside of the fairing facing the forks ? Thanks

I don't think you'll get nearly the same effect. In fact, it'll probably make things worse. The Tour Pak bass ports really work, but they work because they port the low frequencies into a sealed enclosure where resonance is increased. In any speaker, the enclosure is almost as important as the drivers. Higher end speaker enclosures are tuned dimensionally specifically for the size (diameter and throw) of the woofer. The inside of the road Glide fairing provides superior bass response over the bat wing primarily because of its size. Drilling holes into open air will negate any acoustic compression you might have gained from the natural cavernous size.
