Received the Shoei RF 1100 in today, must say it's probably the lightest helmet I've owned. They shipped for 320.00-shipping included :D:D
Here it is. SWEET!!!!!

how did you pick this one? snell rating? All those rating systems are a b*tch to figure out. Been looking at Nolan Trilogy, but cant get enough info, plenty out there on Shoei and Arai, but wanted to look at some other options.

This is the newest Shoei with the Snell 2010 rating, also price was a concern. The new 2010 snell rating, helmets have been redesigned for different size heads. See the other helmets posts too.

Nice helmet, but for me even after being a victim of a hit n run with the loss of my left leg and other permanant injuries. I still cant see myself ever wearing a full face.

I ran heavy equipment for 25 yrs that required me to use all my senses to keep up with what is going around me, even with all the noise the machines made.

I know my working was not quite the same, but wearing a full face gives me the feeling of being boxed in to know what is going on or being able to hear a sound that might not be right.

RF-1100 & Flip Face Alternate

I agree with "Admin" the Shoei RF-1100 is probably one of the best FF helmets out there. I just purchased the RF-1100 w/ Strife graphics for 360.00 at Cycle Gear on New Years Day sale (20% off). Rode with it one day and it's an extremely comfortable and well vented helmet - had some minor fogging on cool morning but plan to remedy w/ pinlock system when it becomes available.

See "webbikeworld.com for complete helmet reviews on virtually any helmet - very informative site with links to snell and other rating systems as well as actual helmet weights.

I normally only wear a half shell H-D model but bought the FF for long rides to cut down the wind/tiredness factor and thus far am impressed with the RF-1100.

Wife is claustriphobic and hated the FF so she ended up buying the "Shark Evoline" also very highly rated and the only flip face helmet that flips all the way back that the manufacturer states can be worn riding in the up position.

Hope this helps those looking

Bought the new SHOIE 2010 RF-1100 Warlord. Nice Fit. Good Vents, little to no fogging. Like the skull designed into it. Good for cold days, long runs or really windy days, if cruising local will always use my Half Helmets : )

I picked up the same helmet... but paid 10 bucks more.

I find it to be the best fitting helmet I've ever worn. I like the visor settings and often ride to work with the visor open about 1/4 inch.

Plus, it's a good looking helmet!!!
