I've done a lot of research on this because I was on the fence on which to buy. From everything I have read, there are no people that have had one, then switched to another. Looks like its a win-win no matter what direction you go.
I personally chose the hogg chopps because of the price difference. I would like the option to have glove boxes for them, BUT... after coming off an Ultra Classic I found 99% of the stuff I put in the lowers glove boxes were extra crap I should of just left at home anyhow. Like 3-4 doo-rags or gloves I never wear. With the built in storage on the Road Glide, I have no need for the extra glove boxes now.

I'll post up some pics when mine arrive. They are still backordered right now, but they are expecting them this week, then another week for paint.
I've heard lots of good things about the Hogg Chopps but since I'm a sucker I ordered the HD vented lowers from Zanotti HD. I'll post up impressions when they arrive in ~2 weeks.
Since we have identical bikes, 1 with each type of lower we should get together to be able to give honest opinions on what we think. This is a debate that has been going on for a while with people.
Wait, that might not be good, because what if I like the H-D better then my hogg chopps.. :D
Sweet. Sure beats the delay he had about a month ago.. I had to wait about a month for him to get "more supplies" in. Then wait for the painter, who was backlogged from it all as well. Andy was cool though, he pushed mine through as fast as he could.
yeah.. you can't go wrong either way. I would go with the HD if you have smaller feet, and do a lot of winter riding. The hogg chopps are better if you are long legged and have sasquatch feet (like me). The hogg chopps don't cover that well from about 3/4 down your shin and lower. If your worried about heat build up, go with the chopps as they really push a lot of air around your motor cooling it. You won't be dissapointed no matter what direction you go.
