Those are for sure the east button for a direct swap but off the stock HU, you aren’t going to find them to be much “louder”. They’re certainly a better speaker and will give you a more complete sound but speakers are the end result of everything that happens before the sound goes into your ear hole. You’re still pushing a dismal 50w of power on a good day so the results from the finest speaker in the world are still going to be “meh” until you get some real power flowing through there.

Absolutely nothing wrong with trying them as a direct replacement and see if they do the job for you. Any 2-channel amp you get will be a big improvement so long as that amp is stable at 2 ohms because those Kappas are 2 ohm and if the amp isn’t stable at 2, it’ll heat up real quick and heat kills.

do not run your volume to 100% even if it's the best song ever. Regardless of how gains were set to prevent you from blowing anything up, once you go past that "3 bars remaining", you are sending a distorted signal from the HU and again, no matter how gains were set to protect your equipment, distortion is distortion and that's what cooks speakers.

You “can” run those speakers off the HU just like I “can” run four 18” subs off the HU but we’re gonna have about the same results and both are going to be pretty disappointing but let us know how it turns out. You need an amp with any speaker and expect it to be an improvement - especially a 6x9 that’s already 2 feet behind you.
