Nice lift!

I got the kaldbal lift from Lowe's. works great. I left my bike on the lift while I was working in Japan for 9 months with the lift lock on and it held solid till I came home. It cost $89.00 bucks.
Thanks DryHeat for that post. How do you like it while doing maintenance on your bike? Is it high enough and solid enough to work on it?

I tried Googling the name you posted "kaldbal" no hits...is that the correct spelling? For 89$ bucks seems like a good buy..

Bike Lift

I am sure some of you have ordered the J&S Jack, but I am a new member here and wanted to share my personal experience.

I deliberated for two years on which jack/lift to buy and over the question, Do I really need one?

Well, thanks to reading some of the other posts on here I finally decided to bite the bullet! Last Wednesday I called Jim at J&S Jacks and ordered their Big Wheel Motorcycle Lift. I could not be happier with the whole process, service, price and outstanding quality of the Jack.

Unbelievably I ordered the Jack around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday and I had my Road Glide up in the air on Friday afternoon! The delivery fee was $50.00, ( I was told that is the same for anywhere Continental US). That, to me, was an outsatnding price considering the Jack weighs 93lbs and I had it in less than 48 hours. Just for comparison, I was going to order a radio from Sirius last week and they wanted $98 to send me a 1 lb package in 2 days!

The Jack itself is the best quality Jack/lift I have seen for under $1000. It does everything you want it to and it is very easy to set up! It really does perform just like in the video on their website! It is very stable and I haven't used any other means to secure the M/C to the Lift. It was fully assembled with the exception of two bolts and screwing in one screw. Very easy to set up, almost to easy, because I kept thinking I must have missed something!

So which Lift/Jack do you buy? That is up to you, but in my opinion, this Jack is about $100 more than the premium Sears Model and there is no comparision. My Bike would cost me about $22k to replace and I just don't understand saving a couple bucks when you lift something that cost this much 18 full inches above the ground! Also consider you or a loved one may be near or underneath the bike when it falls......it just isn't worth it to be frugal here! I have spent countless dollars at the HDMOCO parts counter purchasing all manner of sparkly MOCO items, none of which are as important as a safe Lift!

By now you are all probably asleep so I will end this rambling oratory and say, Thanks to all on here for sharing your experiences and I will be happy to send pic's of the lift if anyone wants them!

Are you looking for a table style lift or a center lift? If you just want something to change fluids and get the bike up for cleanining go with the center stand. You can get a decent one for less than $200.00. If your bike is lowered you need to make sure it collapses low enough to get under the frame or you gotta get front tire on 2x4 to get extra clearance. Tractor Supply and BikeBandit sell the Torin Big Red. Tractor Supply @ $109 and BikeBanditfor $167.
Like 08Glide said, if you want to spend the extra money get the J&S. Their website is www.jsjacks.com.

Probably the best lift I've seen in nearly thirty years a little pricey but worth every penny! I swear by mine! The first time I saw it demonstrated, they had an ultra and four people on the lift and they were moving it around on the floor.

Take a look and decide for yourself.

I bought my table lift from Harbor Frieght, best 300.00 I ever spent, mine has the foot pedal, but for an extra 100.00, you can get the air driven model.
It also has a pullout rear plate so you can change the rear tire more easily. It has no problem with the RG, or my old FLHTC. And it lifts the bike so that the air cleaner is eye level.

I like the looks of that Pitbull lift. I have a Sears yellow jack Auchan is good for gettin the bike up off the ground doing routine maintenance. It's 42lbs and small enough to be stowed under a work bench or on a wall if you mount up some hooks. I also use a Harbor Freight lift which is nice if you wanna tear stuff down and leave the bike sitting for a while (or access the oil pan area unobstructed)
I'm sure there's nicer lifts, but these work for the average Joe without breaking the bank.

Don't think you can go wrong with a J&S or Pitbull lift. Both are quality AMERICAN products. I have had my Pitbull for a month or so now, and I really love it. Without any tie downs at all, it raises the bike 30" in the air and is rock stable. The video shows folks climbing on it like monkeys. I have not tried that, but have no doubt it could if i wanted to!
It is really well made, and rolls right under my workbench when not in use.
I did a ton of research before buying a lift, and I think the J&S would be just as good, but I am loving my Pitbull!

Pitbull owner here, and very happy with it. Would have to be the Pitbull, or J&S for me, as I refuse to make such a purchase, and even consider spending my hard earned dollars on Chicom crap. But that's just me. Top shelf products, that put fellow Americans to work. IMHO

If you have the space a table lift is one of those things that you'll never be sorry you bought. I bought one of the ProCycle lifts from Greg Smith about 8 years ago, its in constant use for one thing or another. If the bike's not on it I'm using it as a work bench or welding table. Best money ive spent in awhile.
