I have the FM 2-1-2 ceramic coated head pipe, and I put the black SE shields on mine. From there I took the innards out of my White Bros e-series mufflers and had them ceramic coated. The match to the heat shields is pretty much spot on. Check with your local powder coater, most of them do ceramic coating as well, and see if they can match it.

i love how people say 'check with your local x.....' i know you have no way of knowing, but i don't have a local x. we got a walmart and a dollar general. the closest hd dealer is 60 miles one way. i'm sure i could find an x in houston, but that's 3 hours away.

LOL. In this case I don't have a local x either. We use to have one a couple different times but they keep closing shop.

 

Not to everyone's liking because it is HD . I had HD night sticks on my 2013 and liked them colors of black look good with the HD ceramic black heat shields. little pig spit now and then kept pipes and shields looking great. I added 2 disks to each side to get the tune I wanted. Under those heat shields are Fuel moto 2-1-2 ceramic heads

 

Yeah, I was kind of thinking I might have to do some type of HD mufflers to match the heat shields, but was hoping maybe someone has already been down this road.

 

Well the only muffler HD has that will work on the M8 is the Street Cannons......they don't sound to good.

 

I have the stock black mufflers off of my RGS if you want to core them out and out big thunder baffles in them.

Use stock mufflers with Full Sac cores. Perfect match in color and sounds great

 

Black T.A.B. Performance mufflers are a perfect match to the Harley heat shields.

 

I'd like to here those in person. Don't sound to bad on videos. The Zombie baffles are a bit much, but the other two aren't bad.

 

I saw a set a TAB mufflers on a new bike at the local Harley shop today.....they are a perfect match. They had the zombie baffles in them. To loud for me, so now I just need to figure out if I want the 1.75 or 2.50 baffles.

 

On the m8 stock or stage 2 you may want to go with the 1.75 to keep from losing too much torque. The 2.50 will be deeper and louder tho

 

Thanks. This is what I'm going over right now. I wouldn't think it would be MUCH loss. At that point it's sound over power. Not real sure which way I want to go. A tune and a new AC should be able to make it up.
