Ok so while working on the new bars the front brake lever got pressed :banghead: and the wheels is off how do I separate the pads and push the calipers back without damaging anything

Flat head screw driver. Just pry it back .

you may be able to push them back by hand if not start with a putty knife and work up to thicker prying devices until there is enough roof for the rotor .

Did the pistons pop out of the caliper or are they still in? If theyre still in then use a screw driver in between the pads to work the pistons back in. If you can, remove the good pads and use old pads as you may gouge the new pads. If you can get the pistons back in then you'll need to bleed the brakes to make sure you didn't introduce air into the system

Just as long as the pistons didn't come out of the calipers you can just pry them back with a flat screwdriver as suggested.
if the pistons didn't pop out then there is no need to bleed the brakes.
You can push the pistons in without taking the cap off the brake cylinder (I do it all the time to the front and back brakes) to avoid a possible mess.
