Seeing as how our border situation is still FUBAR and the whole quarantine BS in effect, there's no chance I'll be heading south across the 49th this season. I read all the cool Shark Week plans and sponsors and just sigh. However, it got me thinking...I know, blonde boy thoughts - look out....but I put a little thought into the possibility of some of us Canucks getting together for a ride this summer.

Anyone interested in meeting up somewhere - perhaps the Prairies so it is middle ground? I'm thinking August sometime. Well, I know I'll be heading East in August sometime. @Ike Burns @DieselDave @calgaryglide ?

No bad ideas.

Great Idea!!!

I will be heading to Vancouver in August sometime to move my son out there. He is going to Law School at UBC in September.

I am game if we can make it work timing wise for all of us!!! I like the BC interior!! Too flat and too many straight roads out here on the prairies!!

I can head out to Calgary, visit a few friends, and then ride back to the Coast with you. Pick up Dave in Kamloops if he doesn't want to stretch it out East. Taking the #23 from Revelstoke to Nakusp, then down to Vernon is an awesome ride - you'll see lots of bikes and cars taking this route. Broken up with a few ferries to chill in between. Then from Vernon, either head down through Kelowna, or you can head north west up to Kamloops. Better riding through Kelowna, down to Osoyoos and then taking the #3 to Vancouver.

August may work great for me. I didn't get west last year and there is no way I am not getting to the mountains this year. Let me know what dates you are thinking.
I was just looking at BC on the google maps a couple days ago 😁

@Ike Burns - you are in Sask, correct? Maybe I can head out that way and point you West, cuz I wouldn't want anyone to get lost and all.

I'll need a bit of notice and some dates. I'm afternoon shift supervisor for two weeks every six and I have to make a trade with one of the other supes if necessary. Revelstoke to nakusp on #23 is good. Nakusp to new Denver on #6 is great and new Denver to kaslo on #31a is excellent.

Hell that would make a great ride for you. You could take the north route through Jasper and Edmonton. Then we could pick Troy up in Calgary and tour through the southern part of the mountains to Dave and X. Then on to the coast

I sincerely hope all you guys manage to put something together and ride for 2-3 days with others on here. I know when we do a run here in FL it's always one of the best times I have all year, it's always a great time. I've never had the opportunity, but western Canada always looked like a wonderful/scenic place to ride. Git'r done!

Wow! That looks like a postcard in the making... that definitely looks like a place to sit back, grab one or three and look out at the view.

I sat on the lake view deck and ate dinner last bike trip. Kaslo hotel.
That's gorgeous. Throw in 3-4 casinos and you've got Tahoe right there.
