For those who ride alot and have been riding for a long time, you know that as a rider, you go thru several phases as you mature and gain experience. You start out hard, riding without protection both on your head and eyes, your hands and then your body. As I went thru those phases and eventually began to professionally work a motorcycle, thru training you learn and see the effects of these "BAD" habit's on your body. Some of the effects of long term wind damage start with hearing, then it progresses to eyes. Wind can actually over time wear away the outer layer of the eyes. Wind burns exposed skin, hot or cold or in between. So after knowing this and experimenting with several types of windshield's, I chose this one. At 6'1 with a 32" inseam and I ride erect, this particular shield provided me with good looks, great fit and function, at a fair price. I just got it Sat and the weather was bad during the day so that night I took it out for the test. I ride with a short shield half helmet with glasses and as soon as I hit highway speed, I was sold! Forget the helmet shield, no glasses lift, radio and exhaust notes were heard clearly! The form of the shield blows the hard air right over my head and the passenger. My line of sight is just over the top of the shield, and I needed minimal effort to crouch if I needed protection. Choose wisely, this is a great shield! And to those using chrome or black window dressing, it fit better with this shield than a stock shield, and we know the Harley window dressing fit sucks! Just my 02, Hope this helps!!! P.S.; Looks are cool but without good function, your going to pay for it in the long run!!

How is the view thru the windshield at the top? I am still trying to get an idea of how tall to go. I am impressed with the thickness of the shield. Does it flex at all?

5' 10" with a 32" inseam. Lowered forks, low Mustang Seat, Remounted fairing using 2010 mounts. Stock tall HD Shield. I wear an HJC Modular SyMax 2. I get some helmet buffetting at highway speeds and would like to eliminate that.

http://www.ceebaileys.com/harley/index.html. that's their website and it has a guide to use based on your height and inseam to help choose from their 6 diff types for the glide. I was wow'd by the shield when I put it on. The only area's of distortion are on the curved sides that you should'nt be looking thru anyway. Got up to about 80 with it and observed no flexing or bouncing. I went by their guide and it was a perfect fit. How much deeper in the seat does your seat put you?
