Center Stand

Looking for a center stand. The HD model is nice and chromed, but the install instructions look like the frame needs to be damn near empty to install it. I'm considering the Wheel dock model as it installs with just two bolts. Anyone have any experience/insight to share?

Thanks in advance!

The center stand is an 09 part number so I'm guessing it's updated for the new frame.

With longer bolts I would be able to get this thing mounted however it would still leave 1/4 gap between the cross member and the center stand mounting plate. That didn't seem right to me

Might have to make a trip to the dealer.....

Mine should here Monday. I will post photos of the install. I got the HD version from PC PaiN.
I've had the Wheel Dock on my '08 FLHTC and now have one on my '12 RGC, one of the best mods I've done, saves space in the garage and helps a bunch when working on the "left" side, no too much of a need for my jack.
Putting the bike up is a breeze, thru trial and error I've learned this:
1. The push with the left leg is more towards the rear than straight down on the stand lever while smoothly pulling the bike back.
2. You MUST be on level ground, MUST. Repeat after me: MUST be on LEVEL ground (ask how I know).
3. For peace of mind I deploy the kickstand that way if anything goes wrong I only have to worry and concentrate on supporting the scoot if it goes righty on me.

Again if you have the proper height/stand is it an absolute breeze and almost effortless deal to set the bike on the stand. BTW installation took not even 10 minutes on the RGC.
