My sixth gear indicator light is pretty much unreadable in daylight on my 2009 Road Glide. On my work bike, a 2009 Electra Glide, it is much brighter and is easy to see, night or day.

The EG has the black face gauges, the RG has the much sexier silver dials.

So, if I can't see the the little green "6" on the RG with the silver gauges, do I deal with it, or should I annoy a dealer with a warranty claim?

Well unless you a chick no ones checking your 6
But ....The long and the short is if it really bugs you change your gages
its a contrast thing with your eyes and the light color of the gauge as well as the angle of the pod, it is a problem for me to
I run my bike by the tach and not the speedo so it really dosent bother me to much :cool:

Yeah, I'm not losing any sleep over it. Just curious if it was due to the gauge color, or something else, like a bad ground or loose LED... It seems odd that I can see the green cruise light on the tach fine, but the 6 washes out on the speedo face...

The green is hard to see on the white face in the daylight. Like the others said, just get used to using the tach. I hardly ever look for it anymore.
