Looks like I need to check mine and wanted to let you know what I read:

A member on another forum who rides a Roadglide posted a thread with pictures showing wear from the radio support wearing two slot through to the painted side of the outer fairing below the windshield.

It seems the fairing is resting on the edge of the support box on top and after time the support box wears through the fairing shell

Some other members posted they have put door edge moulding to protect the inside of the fairing to stop this from happening.


Here the pictures that were posted of the damage along with a picture of the worn wellnuts he had to replace

I read that yesterday. I'll check it the nextb time I pull the fairing. I just wish it was not such a pain in the ass to put it back on.

It is a pain but I have gotten pretty good at doing by myself while sitting in my wheel chair.
