Just ordered the Progressive Monotubes lowering kit. Decided that I might as well add some more CHROME :D while I have the forks apart. Looking for recommendations on chroming the forks. Did you exchange? Buy out right? And who did you use...dealer, eBay or other. And who/where should I stay away from? Found some deals on eBay but not sure who to trust. Any help or insight welcome...thank you!

I went with Hawg Halters Tordeo Lower Leg Kit and as well as their 6 piston caliper. They have a very slick design and their stuff isnt all logo'd up like PM for example.

Thanks for the reply Tracy. I hadn't considered anything but stock sliders. Took a look at Hawg Halters and like the ones you have. Pricing is a bit beyond what I can spend right now.

Still wondering where everyone goes to get their stock chrome forks. Found these on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/290624164055?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 but have no idea of the true quality. Hoping some others will chime in with ideas....?

I'd probably go for it. They look good, supposedly better chroming than HD, the guy has perfect feedback and they're much cheaper than buying from HD even with a discount. Give the guy a call and ask if there's been any issues. Use your gut. :)

Check out Willy Shinys @ www.willyshiny.com They have a exchange program on stock wheels, forks lowers along with other items. The prices are very very reasonable, possibly the cheapest around. You can get chrome fork lowers for $175 a pair.

I just put the Progressive Monotubes lowering kit, Chrome upper & lower slider on my bike this weekend. Have not had a chance to ride it bad weather. I went with the sliders from HD. My mech recommend that they were the best one to go with.
