I have that one too but in the big ass version. I have it on my engine guard.

 

The big ass version is great, because it will hold a regular cup froma gas station or fast food place.

 

I have the Ciro cupholder. Perfect size for an insulated cup. Mounts to the handle bars. The insulated cups will keep icewater (or whatever your drink of choice is) cold between fill ups even on the hottest day.

 

I have the same on a 2007, one on the front and back. they work great.

Hanging crap from the bars looks terrible, and it's in the way when things start happening quickly. This thing with an insulated bottle works perfectly.

I’ve yet to figure out how to ride one-handed, operate a face shield at 65 mph, and handle a big drink cup.

 

a half helmet, or 3/4 with a face shield is easy. cruise control helps. or use your left hand. it isn't that hard. now, if you have a modular or full face, then you're gonna have to do something different.

I like the barefoot willies myself. it isn't pretty, but it is very functional. and they have a great warranty. I had one crack after using it for 10 years and they replaced it free of charge.

 

I use mine mostly for taking my coffee riding to work.
I wear a ff helmet so no drinking while riding for me.

 

My wife has the Ciro holder in back and really likes it. In all my years I’ve never taken a sip of anything while in motion behind the bars. It’s hard enough just to text and eat Milk Duds.

+1 for Ciro - I use the handlebar mount - much better since they went all metal - the plastic one wouldn't last and broke on me twice. Great customer service by the way.

 

Ciro big ass cup holder. But its a biggun. Unless you're taking big cups the regular size will work. Good thing is you can roll, squish/compact the basket on the big one if you're not using it.

 

I don't have anything up front. The wife has the Ciro Big Ass Cupholder (mounted on tour pack). If I mount anything up front I would go with the Ciro handle bar mount. Ciro with the perch mount is a big bonus.

I have the ciro big ass cup holder. A nearly empty 20 oz. soda bottle will fly out at highway speeds. I'm going to get the smaller size.

 

That's why I usually use a 30-40oz ozark trail tumbler with ice. It ain't going no where

 

I have the Ciro, but barely use it, I can keep a cold drink in the bag and sip at the next stop if needed, I have Installed the GTS radio and no longer have the phone on the bars. I really like the clean look of nothing on the bars.

 

I’ve ran mine up to triple digits with my yeti cup in it and it’s held on just fine.

 

I didnt want something attached to the bars, too in the way, and looks terrible.

Some time ago I bought a cupholder from Hog Trough that was attached to the right side lower door. But it was too big for the cup I like to use, so I bought a leather cupholder from Captain Itch, removed the holder part from the mount, drilled an extra hole in the door, and mounted it to the door. Works very well, and holds my Starbucks thermal cup very well. It's one of the few cups that will work with this setup because a taller cup will hit the wind blocker attached to the fairing.

I'm not a fan of cup holders on handlebars......I have the Chubby Cups installed on my rear saddle bag guard.....that way when I stop, I can hydrate....

Placing a cup holder on the saddlebag guard is an idea I've never thought of. Can you share a picture?

If Ciro is lurking on this thread: My wife loves the drink holder which mounts to the tour pak-speaker pod area. I think the next logical step in your drink holders would be ....wait for it..... lighted LED drink holders. There's a light for darned near everything on a Harley, but we're having to endure (languish even) drink holders which just sit there quietly. C'mon man!.....

 

I wedge a water bottle between bag lid and frame.

 

I have the leather tool bag and water bottle holder that goes on the saddlebag guard. Holds my Mt Dew within easy reach. And the wife has her drink in one on the other side. It also holds all my tools and keeps the sun screen handy as well.

 

I’ve had the best luck with this one. It’s off the handlebars but still easily reachable. They also make one that clamps to the engine guard.
