Well it only took 4 weeks to get my Dakota Gauges MCL-3014 thanks to them being on back order but I got them installed today with the exception of the oil temp gauge (gonna wrap it up and wait until I change the oil). First off, Dakota Digital has top notch customer service. I made sure to ask questions in advance to prepare myself for install and check on back order status.

I got a great price through Eastern Performance. Installation was a breeze accept for that pesky ignition switch, easy enough to take off but for some reason I always fight to get it back in correctly. These gauges look absolutely amazing! Easy to read, overload on information and cleans up the dash nicely. The only thing that is going to take some getting used to is the setup of the gauges, I'm sure once I get these set I won't be messing with them much. I had to set my odometer, I noticed when going through the set up my mileage was off by 2 miles. It took a couple times but I managed to get it set. I only got a couple pics, one without lights on and one with. My cellphone doesn't do these justice, the refresh rate on the gauges is faster then that of my phone so it may look like some digits are missing. The upper left gauge is showing 333 because the oil gauge wire isn't installed yet into the oil pan.

That is one of the first things I did to my last 3 bikes, I really like the set up. For me, I found setting the rpm adjustment to the middle setting worked best.

Looks awesome!! I ordered from Eastern also which finally arriving today so pretty stoked to get them installed tomorrow. I went back and forth between blue and red and ended up going with red. I went as far as printing out color pics of them and putting them on the bike lol!!

Blue Dakota Digitals

I had mine for almost 2 years on my 2016 RGU! They work great and look great. I use the trip toggle to monitor my head temp during the summer! The gauges also make seeing the error codes very easy!

One thing to remember for anyone looking to purchase a set... the oil temp sending unit is a different size and location on 2017 and up Harley Tourers...

The oil temp sending unit for 2016 and older Harley Tourers is the same as the Harley Davidson oil temp sending unit (size and location).

For 2017, the new and larger oil pan has the oil sending unit location located on the front corner... can't remember if its the left or right. I learned this putting a set of Dakota Digital gauges on a 2017 Road Glide Ultra. The plug size is larger and the location is in the corner. I called Dakota and they didn't realize the size and location was different. This was in late 2016 when the new 2017s were coming out. They may have fixed it now, but double check and by asking Dakota Digital and/or the retailer selling the gauges.

I've photoshopped a few things when doing stuff to my bike, lol. I managed to replace the fuel gauge without removing anything but the volt meter didn't seem to come out of the space quite as easy. There are 2 torx screws holding in the vent, I removed those and pulled it out with a slight twist and it gave me tons of room. Good luck with the ignition switch removal, I always have a hell of a time getting it back in and locked into place. Don't forget to write down your mileage and read the directions carefully on setting it. Enjoy!

I haven't installed the oil temp unit yet but I believe they have the location and picture in the directions now.

Does anyone know if Dakota Digital has a fuel gauge option? My '18 CVO has a fuel gauge, and I prefer that over the oil temp gauge.

Fuel gauge is in the top half of the odometer. Green area at the top of the left bottom gauge. 20180502_202606.jpeg

That looks great. It's exactly what I was going to do on mine, lol. Where did you run the lights for power?

Thanks guys yeah I’m really stoked with how it turned out. I’m just finishing up on adding LEDs to the lowers put one in the speaker grills and one under the speaker pod. Thinking of putting one in the top vent also.

As for power i spoke with CD and I have a single cable coming from under the seat where the CD module is going down the cable trunk and into the faring. So far have 8 LEDs connected to that single home run wire.
