David Reed Lower Fairing

Did anyone see these on e-bay? Great price with vents and glove box! ....but I'm not sure why these wouldn't fit a 2010 RG? Maybe there's clearance issues around the front fairing :confused:

Wow,.. those are some cheap prices, especially for ABS plastic!!! $350 for vented lowers with glove boxes, painted black and only $30 flat shipping in the U.S. Click the link to his website,.. this isn't just an ebay price, its what he has them for all the time.
I'm betting those would fit the 10'.

Hell ya ... they look great too! ... But the seller told me the crash bar is different on the 2010 RG's and all other touring bikes?!?!?

I am pretty sure he is mistaken. The 09 and 10's are the same I know,.. not sure if they are different from the 08's and older.

I just called my HD parts buddy who confirmed all 2009-2010 touring bikes have the same crash bar. Wonder why this guy thinks differently?

Because he is Wee Todd Did. I guess if he wants to be stubborn about it, he will only sell less of them. :eek: Ask him where he heard they are different, because according to Harley-Davidson they are all the same.

The only reason I can see it wouldn't fit the RG is because of our fairing supports. That piece on that shoots out and covers the top of the bar would have to be shortened.

Other than that, looks like they'd fit.

Too bad I'm liking my Hog Chopps. This guy is about 1 hour away for me. It says he is going to do stretched bags. Have to keep an eye on that one.

With your 2010, the fairing brackets raised the shark nose up 7/8 of an inch and will allow the vented lowers to fit. I did it on mine and they work great.

What color's your bike? I just found out the black is "Gloss Black" which is not the same as vivid black :(

If you have to paint them to match, the gap in price between HD just got a lot smaller! It might just make more sense buying the HD's ...

Chinese Lowers

I am not sure if they are the same, but they sure look the same.

That's what I am running. I have over 10K miles on them and no complaints. I used CHAINSAWS instructions on painting them to match the Denim black. They ain't perfect, but not bad for the price.

Harley changed the way the faring is mounted on the 2010 models. They raised the faring and also changed the mounting brackets. This change allows the use of non-Road Glide Faring Lowers on the 2010 models. Mine is a 2010.
