Can anybody that is running a Harley-Davidson or Motherwell detachable tour pak mount and runs two-up, measure the distance between the front of the rack (not the tour pak) and the rear seat bolt?
Mine seems to be farther back than some as my tour pak is sitting back on the rack which is showing in the front....thanks

It's tough to get a precise measurement, but I've got 2" - 2 1/4" from seat screw to the front of the detachable mount base. Mine is a Harley Quick Detach Mount if it matters.

The Harley tour pak has two sets of holes for mounting the tour pak. It's possible yours is mounted on the rear set. Changing this may make things better.

The front edge of the mount is flush with front edge of my TP and 1 1/2" to 2" back from the seat screw. Tough to get an exact measurement. HD mount and mounting points.

My TP sits well ahead of the mount using the forward holes. I know there are kits to set the TP even further back than the two standard positions. Maybe this is the case with the OP's Tour Pack?

I am running the Motherwell detachable rack and was wondering why part of the rack was showing, I do have the TP mounted back somewhat to give my wife room to move around. I don't think mine is that close to the seat bolt......its 1 3/4" appr, so the HD rack must sit even farther back?

Depends on the year of the Tour Pac too. My 13 TP bottom is relatively smooth and sits flush with the front edge of the mount. I have an older chopped TP and the bottom has half-moon sections to use a round tube as part of the mount. On the detach mount, it has to set back probably 1.5" from the front edge of the mount to sit flat.

Mine is an '09 I believe, it is not flat on the bottom and has the 1/2 moon shaped ridges towards the back and side, so I could only mount it in one position.

Yeah, my chopped TP sits further back on the bike for that very reason. Just guessing, about 1.5" further than the king TP I have without the 1/2 moon ridges on the bottom. Front edge of the mount is showing with the chopped, flush with the king.
