Wanting to change out front and rear bulbs to LED but not sure which type I have. .. 2013 fltrx
1156 is a single filament bulb
1157 is a dual filament bulb
you want 1157 for both
1157 for the front for running light and turn signals
1157 for the rears since Road Glides use the rears as run, brake and turn.

A is Amber R is Red

Will I have to put a load equalizer or resistor (which ever it is) to keep blinkers from hyper blinking?
You may consider checking out Custom Dynamics for their LEDs and they will be upfront with you about if you would need a load equalizer.

Motorcycle LED Lighting by Custom Dynamics

Just a suggestion as there are many other places that offer these parts as well.

+1 on calling Custom Dynamics the 2015 CVO had 1157 in the front and 1156 in the rear after installing LED's had to run the four way's for 15 seconds to rid the "quick flashing" issue

i have custom dynamics led clusters front and rear on my 2010, and a load equalizer was required.
Some have not had to put an equalizer on their bikes when only putting leds in the front or back. But when you have both, it is necessary.

2014 and newer don't require a load equalizer. Custom Dynamics is probably the best after market signal/brake lighting on the market. My sportster had single intensity in the rear as it was used for riding and turns on my RG i need duel intensity on both ends front and rear turns since rear turns work as driving , turning and brake lighting. 1157s on both ends.

I was wanting to add the smart triple play when I added my LED signals but after a little research I found out that on a 12 FLTRU at least, probably several other models. That the turn signals are too close to the brake light so its against DOT regulations having a red turn signal that close to your brake light.
SO was wondering if anyone has added the Amber/Red dynamic rings, and could you explain how you did it and just how hard it was.
Thanks

Thought about doing it with just the red bulbs but knowing my luck some cop will actually know that law.
