Check them out... I got a great deal on them as a Vet and the unit works as advertised. Newer models with rear jug cutout at idle require a bit more due diligence on setup as if you get it backwards the bike will die (swap your wires fron to back and its fixed). I called them and got a tech on the line straight away, he walked me through setup once installed. Bike runs great with about 5k on it since install (been sitting due to snow). Im running V&H Power Duals and she runs like a dream.

I have run Power COmmanders on several bikes over the past 10 years and they have always worked okay but not user friendly if you were out on a long road trip and needed to adjust for elevation/climate change. The newer models have 3 buttons but I don't pack a laptop with me. This unit is SIMPLE and if it was to fail I could remove it in 10 minutes on the roadside and plug in the stock system and continue on my way.

If you are just adding a intake and pipes to your bagger and want to increase pep a bit and add a better exhause note - this is the ticket.

The more I read about all these tuner or whatever you call them I'll all screwed. I have a 11 FLTRX 103 all stock. I'm not going to change pipes but would like to cool it down W/O screwwing with pipes, cat & A/C

I ran one of these on my 03 FLHTI SE 95". Ran like a champ. Brand new the bikes run lean to meet epa standards, etc. With a better breathing AC and pipes, this unit allows you to add more fuel. Get it right and you will notice a decent difference. The bike will run cooler too, because it's not so lean.

On my 2011 RGU I'm running a HD SE Super Tuner Pro. With all of the new options out there I figured I'd stick with an HD product. That will keep me out of this forum anyway. If it needs tweaking, the dealer can do it and be expected to get it right.

Also wanted to add that some of the other ECM add-ons, etc, do more than just manage fuel. You can tweak the timing, etc. In most cases, this is overkill and most folks won't use it to that potential. The fuel pak types are a couple hundred $$$ cheaper and will get you the same results, but might require a little effort. Power Cdr, you just load a map and that's it. But you're paying for options you probably won't use.

I followed the advice posted on the start of this thread and after researching ordered and installed the GEN 3 tuner on my '11 103 Custom. Seat of the pants response was immediate woke the bike up! I am going to do a little tweaking, but after an initial run of 75 or 80 miles, I could not be happier with this units performance. Also very pleased with the customer service and the great deal with the military discount. Recommend this unit for ease of install and functionality. Semper Fi.

good luck cooling the bike down, the pipes, a/c and the hd epa standards are whats making your bike run lean and hot.
