No, never put the DB reducers in, I want to remove the baffles and take the insulation out so it’s not around the baffles anymore.

I've done it. It wasn't as easy as the V&H, but it can be done.

1st, pull the 2 bolts that hold it in. Now comes the fun part. After a lot of sweat and several 4 letter words, I tried Youtube. I found a video of a guy pulling some baffles. Take a piece of iron, something like a tire iron or crow bar, put it inside the baffle at about a 45* angle, and hit the crow bar with a hammer. You have to knock the baffle back about 3/4" to get past the press fit, then it'll slide ride out.

1st one took about 45 minutes to figure out, other side took less than 10 start to finish.

For what it's worth, I didn't remove the cat and I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't a louder, deeper tone. It's better than it was, but I think new head pipes will really wake it up.

Good luck, John
