Dyno pulls I’ve done

I’m going to try and continue to post to this thread as I tune bikes at work. The goal of this is to show what numbers I’m getting out of what combinations here in Texas. Not saying I’m the be all, end all of tuners, just want to share with everyone. Most of the time, here lately, because of the extreme heat, I’ve been going in around 6am to tune. These are all done with a Dynojet chassis dyno and power vision maps / tuners. None of these graphs I post will be Screamin Eagle street tuners, Thundermax or TTS, unless noted. I try to put text in each pic so you know the combination used. They won’t only be Road Glides and some I don’t remember all the parts I use. If I say “Harley 131 kit” and don’t list anything specific, then it’s just as the kit comes. I will make it a point to highlight what parts I do change.

I hope everyone enjoys this and feel free to ask questions. I’ll do my best to answer / remember the bikes. Lol.

Same bike; 2019 RGS 114”, TTS 175 cam and Ness AC. All else stock.

Arriving is decatted 2-1-2 and Amazon mufflers with TTS tune

Mid is KW 2-1 with my PV tune

Customer’s bike from this morning. Unknown combination, he bought it like this. What I do know; 2020 Heritage, S&S cylinders, stock manifold and TB, Ness 90° air cleaner and Big Radius pipes. Pulled the existing map and retuned it. No physical changes other than I had to add stiffer clutch springs.

New personal best.
Adjusted my previous tune of a CVORGST 135” with a Thunderheader and IWS. It made 166/158 before but had a slight dip at 3,600ish rpms.

Red is when it arrived:
107, P&A air cleaner, Jackpot headpipe and SE mufflers

Blue is now:
119” kit, Star 30/30, 64mm TB and manifold, 5.5 injectors, extreme wedge, same Jackpot headpipe and KW mufflers with louvered inserts

customer’s from today
Before; 2024 Road Glide 117” with TAB mufflers

After; 117” still, Moonshine 492 cam, P&A air cleaner and KW Outlaw 2-1 with Db reducer.

Still playing around with the tune and trying to clean up some small spots but so far it’s a ripper.

One of the center cooled bikes? What were you able to tune it with?

One from today. I didn’t build it, it came to me for a tune already built. Not sure if the customer did the work or had another shop do the work.
2023 Road Glide 114”, 55mm TB and manifold, 5.3 injectors, Fuel Moto big ass air filter element, Jackpot 2-1-2 headpipe and mufflers and Star 30/30 cam. He also has other gee whiz parts installed that have no effect on the tune.

Where he is now compared to a stock 114”

I really do think that 30/30 cam is the best "bolt in" cam out there for 114's and 117's. At least for the older M8's and not the center cooled.

I use PV for almost everything 23-down because I find it works the best. TTS, to me, is clunky to use, not as nice and is harder to use as far as making changes during tuning.

I’ve had mixed results with TTS on 23.5-up bikes. Some cams don’t exist in their database, which is easy to account for, some maps work great and some maps don’t. I had a 131 that would just randomly shut off for no reason at random mileage intervals. Also, so far, TTS can not account for VVT delete.
I’ve been using Impact Wiring Solutions stand alone ECM a lot lately (like we got 4 in yesterday and they’re all already sold) and having good results. I’ve posted some of those final dyno sheets in this thread.

Now that Dynojet has announced their release for the center cooled bikes, how long before you think you'll actually be able to tune with it? Also do you have to buy a PV 3or 4, or can you just pay for a license and get a key when you are ready to get it tuned? That's what I've always done in the past.

From what I’ve been told; supposedly we can start tuning center cooled with PV on 1 Jun. It will have to be tuned in the C3 software with a PV3 and customer’s can just purchase a license like before.

A lot of the 121” ones seem to be between 136-145 hp and that mostly depends on ST versus non-ST baggers. Torque follows around about the same.

I didn’t do the work to this one, another shop did, I just tuned it.
2019 FLHX, S&S crate 136”, S&S 550 cam, 64mm TB and manifold, 6.8 injectors, Rinehart AC and full Rinehart exhaust system

By FAR the loudest bike I’ve had on the dyno in a long time

Depends on the kit that was used and when. My 2018 107 road glide, stage 4 kit at the time only made it a 114. Once 114” came in the specials, stage 4 made it 117”. Now, stage 4 kits make 107s into 122” and 114/117” into 131”
