Dyno pulls I’ve done

I’m going to try and continue to post to this thread as I tune bikes at work. The goal of this is to show what numbers I’m getting out of what combinations here in Texas. Not saying I’m the be all, end all of tuners, just want to share with everyone. Most of the time, here lately, because of the extreme heat, I’ve been going in around 6am to tune. These are all done with a Dynojet chassis dyno and power vision maps / tuners. None of these graphs I post will be Screamin Eagle street tuners, Thundermax or TTS, unless noted. I try to put text in each pic so you know the combination used. They won’t only be Road Glides and some I don’t remember all the parts I use. If I say “Harley 131 kit” and don’t list anything specific, then it’s just as the kit comes. I will make it a point to highlight what parts I do change.

I hope everyone enjoys this and feel free to ask questions. I’ll do my best to answer / remember the bikes. Lol.

Graphic example of how much more air the extreme wedge moves.
131 with stock 117 heads, Andrews 485, 64mm TB and manifold, 5.5 injectors and mid length Bassani. Only difference in these 2 pulls is I took the stock short 90° air cleaner off and put an extreme wedge on

Customer’s CVO RG 117. Came in all stock with just Rinehart mufflers. Put in an S&S 475 cam and changed the headpipe to a KW 2-2 outlaw and reused the Rineharts. The dip is purely because of the Rineharts. If I put a lollipop in the headpipe to create some back pressure, that dip would lessen.

is it "better" in the headpipe or at the end of the tailpipe?

around here they would put the lollipop in the tailpipe because John Law would stick his nightstick into your exhaust. if he could insert it far enough you'd get a ticket but the lollipop would stop it.

y'all dirty minded bastages can have fun with that one lol

Customer’s 2015 CVO. Was a 110” with Woods 222 and the air cleaner and exhaust you see in the pic.
Now a 117” with Rivas 584 and a good tune. Customer would not let me change the air cleaner or exhaust.

Second one from today. A 2020 Road Glide. Was a 107 with the D&D exhaust. Now a 129” kit with Revolution +2 heads, Andrews 554, 64mm TB, 6.8 injectors, extreme wedge air cleaner and the same D&D exhaust.

I am not a Thundermax guy. Not that I don’t like them, I just don’t know them. Well, I had to do some quick learning. We did not install this turbo kit but I was told to make it run right. This is where it currently is after I made some adjustments and fixed the map. Bone stock 2023 Low Rider ST, other than what comes in the turbo kit.

Customer’s from this morning. He already had the shorty 2-1, 5.5 injectors, S&S 475 and S&S high flow air cleaner. It was supposedly tuned somewhere else but ran like crap. I was able to pick 4hp and 4tq AND make it run right. Lol.

100% that dip is a direct result of the shorty 2-1 but the customer has already called back and said that the bike is night and day different

Customer’s CVO Fat Bob 110” from this morning. All stock except for TC-3103 cams and some Cobra mufflers. Still has the cat in the headpipe. Lol

So this was yesterday morning about 10am. Cam chest is empty and flywheels are stuck.
Ripped the whole primary off, pulled the engine, changed flywheels, installed oil cooler fan, installed primary vent kit, upgraded the clutch, reinstalled engine, installed a 131 kit with a Reaper 538 cam, 55mm TB and manifold, 5.5 injectors and reused the existing air cleaner and Power Dual headpipe and 4” mufflers.

This morning at about 11am when I finished dyno tuning it. Lol

I didn’t build this one, another tech did but it’s a 2019 Limited with a 132” kit, Andrews 554 cam, 5.5 injectors, 64mm TB and manifold, small P&A air cleaner, Khromewerks 2-2 headpipe with V&H slipons.

One from this morning. 2023 Street Glide ST 117. Added a 64mm TB and manifold, 5.5 injectors, Trask air cleaner and an Andrews 485 cam. He already had the mid length Sawicki 2-1.

I agree. I can make ridiculous power / torque with a natural 117 with minimal parts. We have a left over 2023 Street Glide ST here at the dealership. Really been thinking of building a big engine bike for myself. @SteadyEddie You wanna buy a ‘Bones?? lol

Another one from today. 119” kit, Andrews 485 cam, stock manifold, TB and 4.3 injectors, terribly small air cleaner and a full length Bassani 2-1. Actually had to pull fuel out down low because of air cleaner wasn’t flowing enough air
