Yep, I got them. Really happy with them. They match my crash bar and handlebars. My wife has not complained about them once. They are beefy and stick out a bit, but have been happy with them!
If you just want a more aggressive looking bag guard take a look at Drag Specialties Saddlebag Buffalo Bars. They are 1 and 1/4 inch (same as engine guard). Though with these you have to unbolt the top to take off the side panels.
I admit that changing out to the pointed Anarchy guards is strictly a looks thing. Given that we ride 2-up all the time, I can easily imagine my wife banging a knee or leg on these while mounting or dismounting the bike. I think my decision is suddenly pretty clear. Thanks for the help guys.
I will say this, my girl doesn't scratch my bag lids by accident anymore, we are both much more careful now getting on ...lol
Pros and Cons such is life I guess. Good luck with your choice.
I'd rather that my wife have nice-looking legs versus the bike have bling that bites. I'll avoid them for her sake, and maybe mine too. Appreciate all the responses.
I've had them on the last 2 bikes and the wife has never come close to hurting herself. Myself on the other hand have limped away fighting back tears a few times. But no. She's never even come close.
