Fellow Motorcyclists Stop To Check On Me

I was riding yesterday afternoon gathering ABC HOG points which requires stops along the road to take pictures for the particular point you are after.

My route took me through several counties on remote 2-lane roads. I seldom see many vehicles on the road where a particular county sign is located. Several miles ahead, I never see vehicles where a small town of the letter "X" sign is located. As I was stopped along the 2-lane in front of the county sign to take my picture, I looked back to see a motorcycle approaching from the direction I had come. The man riding stops alongside me on his Honda Shadow to make sure I am OK. I tell him that all is well and after a thumbs up, he rides off. As I am putting my camera back in the Tour Pak and putting my gloves back on, from the other direction a man on a BMW R1200GSA pulls alongside. He makes sure everything is OK and I explain to him what I am doing. He nods with approval and rides off, as well. I take off to gather the "X" town picture and never see another vehicle along my route.

It is good to know that fellow motorcyclists, regardless the make they are riding, will stop to check on one of their own if stopped along the roadside. Makes you feel pretty good if you did need assistance! I know I have stopped for fellow riders and even helped a few that needed it.

God to hear. I always stop too. Sometimes I've been able to help other times I've gone to get parts and bring back. I've been stranded twice and once the guy drove 20 miles to get his trailer to take me 40 miles the other way to the dealer. It always comes back to you.
I stop as well. The funny thing is my wife and boys do the same thing.
I often ride the 2 lanes in semi-rural counties adjacent to Louisville and often times I pull over somewhere for a smoke, check my phone, etc. and I am always amazed at how many bikes & cages slow way down and ask if I am having trouble and need a lift or gas or something. And of course I do the same when I see a bike on the side of the road. Lots of good people still around!
I stop whenever I can even if in my work vehicle never know when it may be something simple as needing a tie wrap . Sometimes I will slow down and look for the thumbs up that all is ok if its just a pull over to put on gloves or remove a jacket .
Avery long time ago, and extremely compassionate and wise young mas admonished us to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I submit that this is still true today and is evidenced by the actions spoken of here. Happy Easter ya'll
So, you're not a 'Hang Around' any more, now you're a 'Prospect' for HOG? Just messing with you. I also stop.
