Ok, so stamp EVO on my forehead and call me a newbie. :D

After reading about the PC-V and the Power Vision, I'm leaning towards the Power Vision, but wanted clarification. The PC-V is esentially an in line signal "modification device", where the Power Vision is actually capable of writing a new map to the existing HD stock ECM, correct? If my understanding is correct the Power Vision seems to be far more versitale for the additional $200 bucks.

You are correct on all counts. I'm very happy with my Power Vision, besides being a programmer it's a very good tool on several levels. WAY more capable than many people will ever use.

Looks like a call to Fuel Moto in my future today. I'm guessing the purpose of the handle bar mount is sustained auto tune? I'd just planned on flashing the ECM and putting the Power Vision back in the box until I need it again.

Handlebar mount allows access to several things. Autotune is something you will want to run, but you don't want to run in Autotune mode other than when you are tuning. Once tuned you can use the gauge functions in PV to monitor pretty much anything present in the ECM, you can also run logging outside of autotune mode which you can review when tracking down any issues or areas you feel are not working as expected. Making heads and tails of the logs you collect can be pretty difficult, but if you buy from Fuel Moto, I believe Jamie will help analyze a problem with the logs.

I used logging to track down a weird warm up behavior. Can't auto tune until the O2 sensors are warmed up which means little help with startup or warmup issues...
