Ok, so wife just got me set up with the MY21.20.28.00 swdl boombox GTS DOM.zip file.
Does this include the navigation update indicated above by NCPiper?

Nav data updates (map content) must be purchased, but any nav application functionality should be included in the software update.

 

The NAV (actual maps) update are done on a completely different system. You have to down load the program.

The map updates may list a date but do not expect them to be current. Last time I updated roads that were finished for over 3 years did not show up.

Page down on this link it will give you all the radio updates and wireless updates. HD has made it a bit harder to find and use.

It’s not hard at all to find. There is the link at the bottom of the main H-D web page. You just have to look. This is takin off my phone. And it’s much easier to find on the web page. Soft wear updates. Pretty self explanatory.

 

Map update - $149! Yikes!

 

On par with auto manufacturers. And much easier and more available then most.

 

Anybody buy the updated roads version yet and can confirm they are infact, updated?

Would a new motorcycle with boom GTS automatically come with the latest software and maps update?

 

No mine didn’t . Dealer never updated it upon delivery . Map updates are not free either .

 

The gts and map software are separate updates just as the whim is also if you have that . Gts firmware can be downloaded and you update via the usb a in the fairing . The whim had a separate microusb to update . The gts firmware is really easy just have to download out on a usb stick .
