Fork seal driver

Hey folks. So, I did a fork bushing replacement on my Dyna and swapped in a Progressive fork kit. When it came time to push the bushing guide in and the oil seal I scratched my head a bit.

What I ended up using as a bushing/seal driver was a 24" long piece of ABS piping with a 2" ID. I cut four slits into it at 0°, 90°, 180° and 270°. Did that in order to remove some material and get it to squeeze down to 49mm (1.925"). I put a hose clamp on it to shrink it up a bit and it drove the bushing and oil seal in without marring/damaging the fork tube. Pretty genius eh?
Anyways, it slid down over the upper fork tube and with a dead blow hammer and few tappity taps it easily drove the bushing and seal into the fork slider.

Question. When I thought I was gonna have to disassemble my forks, 2018 FLTRX, I ordered a fork seal driver. It came in the mail I set it on the shelf and didn’t need it.

while straighten up I noticed on the label it had “Dyna 2006…. “.
The size is correct. I didn’t catch the Dyna, must have been a beverage involved.

You gents know it this tool will work with the glide? I’m guessing a tube isn’t just a tube..

Never have understood why this always seems to be such an ordeal. Any time I've had to do a set I just wet the outer edge of the seal with a little fork oil, and press them in by hand.

It’s never an ordeal when you have the right tool. And I’ve never done it. Hence the post.
The ordeal is will this tool work down the road, or should I give to a forum member with a Dyna.
Maybe after I do it, or see it done, assist etc…. I’ll say hell, who needs a fucking tool.
Until then, It’s mere a tiny little issue in my world.

I don’t post my ordeals on the web.

Looks like it's good for custom forks and Dyna on the description. They probably made this tool before HD changed the Tour bike shocks from 41mm to 49 mm witch is what Dyna's changed to back in 2006.
So this tool will work for Dyna models 2006 up and newer baggers with 49mm forks and of course custom applications and other manufacturers bikes with forks those sizes.
