I though I read that when you flash the PCM with a FP3 it eliminates the flash for the Coolflow Fan. Has anyone run across this that can confirm. I can't seem to find the info again.

I'm also interested in this. I also read it'll affect the Fans Assisted Oil Cooler.

I found where I read it....it was the Fan Assisted Oil Cooler. Can't find anything about the Coolflow fan. :frown:

Where did you read that? I am going to be installing the fan assisted oil cooler and am running the fp3. Searched for it on here and I must be missing the topic.

I'm not sure why a Fuel Pack 3 would interfere with the Fan Assisted Oil Cooler. The Oil Cooler fan is turned on through Digital Tech at a Harley shop and the FP3 plugs into the DTC port and stays connected. It doesn't really "flash" the ECM.

Not quite correct...The FP3 does flash the ECM and does NOT have to stay connected to the port. People choose to keep it connected to use some of the monitoring features.

Got this from V&H:

If you have had the FP3 installed prior to the Digital Tech flash, below is what you would need to do. If you will be installing the FP3 for the first time after the digital tech flash, then yes it will carry over.

1. After DT flash, connect the FP3 and open app

2. Go to Customer Support and press Upload ECU Content (not the regular upload button)

3. Contact us either by phone or email (you can reply to this email with your VIN) and do not use the FP3 further until you hear back.

I can confirm that if you add the CoolFlow fan and refresh the FP3 it will remove the DT download for the fan. My dealer was not aware of this happening and contacted V&H. I understand that there is a fix of some sort out there though.

I put one on my 15RGS for the Tomahawk parade. Still hot but much less than before.
