I just installed a 12" dark smoke freedom shield and love it. I did a 2000 mile ride after installing it & couldn't be happier. I am 5'9"

Year RG and set up makes a big difference. My 09 RG came with 13" shocks and a 16" tire up front with a fairing mounted more straight ahead (more like your CVO). 14" is the answer for me (5' 10") The next year the RG custom came out. Bike had 12" rear shocks and an 18" Front wheel and the fairing was rocked forward slightly. Add that all up and I only need a 12" on a custom.

My wife's new 15 RGS I put a 12" and it was more than enough for me to have an awesome bubble of protection. Since you are taller than me I bet something closer to 14" will do the trick.

Hope so. Bike is not the same as the avatar. It's a 2015, have not updated the pic. Nice thing about Freedom (working through my local dealer) is that you can go up 1" at a time (that would make wife happier) lol ???? and there is no cost or anything. Just keep the plastic on and keep trading till you get it right.

Have the 14" Freedom Shield on my 15 RG. Works perfectly, after having tried the 12" HD shield (very bad turbulence), the 15" HD shield (a bit too tall), then did some measuring and engineering, and got the 14" FS. I really like the slightly wider top corners, and the air just goes a few inches over my head. 6-2 30" inseam here.

6'5" here. A Mustang seat that puts me back 2" and down 1" on a '13 RGC. I tried the 14" and the wife didn't like it. We've now had a 16" on now for 23,000 miles and lovin' it.
