Its probably been discussed, but.

I am thinking about increasing the front drive pulley by one tooth to improve cruise.

I have the 5 speed trans on an 88 engine.

Has anybody done this?

I am considering going the opposite way to keep the RPMS up where I make my power but I am running a 6 speed also.

I would be worried about pulling too much gear and having the bike feel like a dog.

With the 5 speed the first two gears a pretty short anyway.

I not really into racing anybody from a red light.

And I didn't want to buy $ 1500 in gears from Baker. So I am considering the poor man's choice.

My goal is to make 5th gear similar to the 6-speed 6th gear.

I am turning 3500 rpm at 80 mph with the 5 speed.

I am guessing the 6th gear at 80 would be around 2900 to 3000
