No experience with any of them, but Id go with the Bitchin baggers setup. Those you can take from bike to bike if you upgrade in the future and its an easy install. If you care to hear what I think.. if not I understand. :p

I was looking at the Bitchin Baggers one. Made me a little nervous about having to cut the stock brackets off the fender.

That's kinda what I thought, too. Doesn't look too difficult but, the other ones seem like a simpler install with less risk of f*$#in up! I got experience working w/metal & confident in my ability but, still...one slip & ur buyin a new fender!

I have a set of brackets similar to kit #2 that I got off of eBay a LONG time ago, but never followed through with. My plan was to put them on a fender I have left from a wreck I was in (scraped the bottom lip and a dent on top from fork dive) and weld them in smooth. Might still do it at some point, but I've waited this long. Might as well wait a little longer.

I think the other ones are not nearly as simple. Both of them require you drill out your rivets or drill new holes in your fender. The bitchin baggers setup is just bolts on with no mods to your fender and can be made back to stock if by some chance you don't like the setup.

I agree -use that extra cash for a set of their lowered air shocks.

I've seen the bitchin bagger brackets in person. ridden next to and checked them out, with the owner's permission of course.
they look better in person than in the pics, in natural. and don't really 'slam' the fender, just level it out.

a whole lot cheaper than a new custom fender.

Actually, the ones I checked out at Bitchin Baggers seem a little more complicated. If you view their Installation Directions on their site, you have to cut the existing bracket off w/die grinder & drill new holes. Unless they have more than one kit available that I missed? Looks like there's some cutting or drilling involved for all of them. Thanks for all the input!

You are correct,.. I failed to actually read that one, and just looked at the pics :p Looks like not matter what there will be some drilling or cutting or both involved.

^^There is a steel one listed in the link I sent as well, just the fiberglass version is cheaper then the steel one listed so I thought I'd mention it.
blah, nevermind I didn't find the price of native customs, its roughly same cost as the f/g one i listed.

Dead thread rising

Thought I'd revive this dead old thread to show some pics of the Native Custom Cycles kit. I got the raw finish spacers to match stock legs and the chrome fasteners. Drilling the first rivet was the scary part, but after that it was simple. Remember to keep the rivet head steady as you drill it out as it will spin and could damage the paint beyond where the button head bolt will cover. The measure twice, drink once before drilling method works best. Spaced the fender up off the tire with an appliance cord instead of fuel line, same clearance. Mount the plates and spacers on the forks, lower the fender to where you want it and mark the holes on the plates for drilling. I slammed it right down to spacer while keeping the front lower edge of the fender horizontal, couldn't stand the buck tooth look of the stock angle/height. The slammed fender makes a nice subtle change to an otherwise stock front end.
