I've been using a fuel pak for several years. about 2 years ago I had a problem with it. I spoke to their tech support and they said to send to them for diagnosis. I put it in a postal flat rate box for $4 and sent it. took 3 days to get there but they called me right away and said mine had failed and they will send me a new one back. I put the new one in and reprogrammed it and it's been fine since. It's just like any other electronic device, they can fail but the V&H tech support is really great to deal with.
