Ok gang, its getting closer to tear down time for my RG and I have to decide what kind of gauges I wanna go with. As of right now Im leaning toward Dakota Digital. My husband has their gauge on his RK and I really like it. I particulary like how its blacked out when the ignition isnt on. So whats your opinion of whats out there or what you have used, pics of what youve got...etc.

Never changed mine

I have never changed a set out, I did get a chance to check out the Dakota Digitals in Vegas last year at the bike show. Those guages are BAD ASS. Personally if I was going to change mine, that would be my choice. I have never seen them on an RG... Bonus!

Rowdy, the one for the RK has everything but the butt wiper option...lol Oil pressure & temp, head temp, low volt, low oil pressure, security, u can recall 0-60 time, 1/4 mile time & speed, you can even set an alert to go off when you hit a certain mileage for when the bike needs servicing....its VERY elaborate. With his big motor, all those things come in real handy.

Another option is the Limited gauges. My buddy put them in his '10 FLTRX. Very nice looking set of gauges if you're not going to go digital.

Dakota Gauges

I put them in my 2009 Vivid Black RG about 3 weeks ago and am very happy with them so far. I have the Blue ones and like them even more at night. If someone can tell me a quick way of uploading a picture, I can take one and post it.

Hopefully I have attached two pictures that I just took of the gauges installed. They are not that good, but I am going to blame it on a very old digital camera.

Awesome! Thanks for the pics! Im sure this is what I'll go with too. Ive pretty much seen everything out there and I keep coming back to the DD's. Ive got all the parts, wheels and other misc goodies that Im putting on after the paint except the gauges. Like I said before, I just love the fact of them being blacked out with the ignition off. A very clean look!

How much of a savings? Or does it depend on how many goes in?
They usually contact DD and get a quote on how many sets you have to buy to get the best price break, then they will let us know and they will post a price to see how many are interested, they will take standing orders and once the amount is reached they will then place the order. I have bought many items from them and the are very good at what they do and they will ship out very fast. Your only other option is to get a quote from Dr. V.
Let me know???? I will only do this if it is okay with the site admin, and if it adheres to the site rules, once I get the go ahead we could have a quote in a day or two!!!!!

There is a company that will match your radio back light to your new gauges, Blue .Doc
Do you have the companies name that can change the HD radio back light?
Thanks

I went with the HD spun Aluminum gauges, I love the look, but due to the angle of the gauges, the sun will reflect in ur face every once and a while, but I love them!
